Brian Penick is a disruptive entrepreneur and venture capitalist. After a 12-year career as a professional musician, Brian launched Career Map, a skill and career development suite that includes a series of private-label products (known as a “customizable LinkedIn”), which serves the music, physician, and political industries, among others. Brian also was a co-founder of the music recognition company Soundstr, which was acquired in 2018. 

Outside of Career Map, Brian works in venture capital as the Chief Marketing Officer and Partner for LOUD Capital and manages its Legacy Entertainment Ventures endeavor. Brian is a frequent conference panelist and writer, contributing to Forbes.com and Billboard, among other publications. Brian works to bring value through teaching entrepreneurship, education, and empowerment, especially to alternative and specialty industries.
